On 16th-19th of April, seminar on disaster risks reduction and management of earthquake risk with participation of emergency and scientific institutions of seismology, of seismic constructions for Central Asian and Caucasus countries was held.

Seminar organized by JICA together with Kazakh agency of international development (KAZAid) has become a great platform for transferring the experience of Japanese experts in the field of the systems of early informing, assessment of seismic resistance of buildings, seismic isolation, awareness raising of population and etc.

Seminar was organized on the base of the Center on emergency situations and disaster risk reduction that is permanently running interstate body of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
